Yvette A. Woosley, 56, of Monticello, died at 2:25 pm, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on January 24, 1958 in Spokane Washington. She was an American Indian and a registered member of the Coeur d' Alene Tribe. She is the daughter of Edgar Stuntz who survives and the late Ruth C. (Crowe) Stuntz. On July 16, 1977, at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello she married Steven Woosley, and he survives. She was a 1976 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. She worked in human resources for the United States Department of Defense for the Navy, Marine Corp, Army, and MEPS. She and her husband, a retired Marine, attended Presbyterian churches where ever they were stationed. Yvette was very artistic and crafty enjoying sketching, painting pictures, and throwing clay and making pottery. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for the holidays. Above all, she cherished time spent with her five grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Steve; her children, Nicholas (Heather) Woosley, Lauren (Joe) Young both of Noblesville; step-brother, Dan (Yukiko) Stuntz of Australia; five grandchildren, Malaki, Logan, Jack, Chloe, and Xylie. Besides her mother, Ruth she was also preceded in death by brothers, Joe and Virgil Stuntz. Funeral services are private. Private burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan, Wisconsin. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or to Indiana Blood Centers, monetarily, or by blood donations. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
