William L. Rosado

William L. Rosado, 79, of Winamac, formerly of Monticello passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Pulaski Healthcare Center in Winamac. He was born on March 7, 1944 in Adjunctas, Puerto Rico to the late Ramon Lagares and Adeline Rosado.

William was a special education student. He loved dancing, boxing, wrestling and watching movies such as King Kong, Godzilla, and the Lone Ranger, to name a few. He mostly loved money. LOL.

While living in the Peak Community home, he went to a sheltered workshop Monday through Friday. He never got married nor had any children.  He loved his mom and dad, sisters and brothers. He was a sweet, loving, and kind person who always called pretty girls and nurses honey. He loved to hear his brother, Isaac repeat a story of a fight our dad had with a man and won. At the end of the story, he would bust out laughing. 

Surviving are his siblings, Marilyn Serrano of East Chicago, IN (2 sons 1 daughter), Doris (Samuel) Pedroza of Lake Station, IN (1 son 2 daughters), Ramon Lagares Rosado of Puerto Rico, Raquel Rosado Perez (1 son and 1 daughter), Jose (Heidi Briscoe) Rosado (2 daughters), Isaac (Delia) Rosado (2 sons), Jacob Rosado (2 sons 1 daughter), Adeline Puente (2 sons), Elias Rosado, Betsy Rosado, Gamaliel Rosado, Hiram Rosado (1 son 1 daughter), Abel Rosado, and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Marlita, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Agar Rosado. 

Funeral services celebrating William's life will be at 11:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Fr. Dan Duff celebrating.

Burial will be at 11:00 am CST on Monday, September 18, 2023 in Gary Oak Hill Memorial Park, 4450 Harrison Street, Gary, Indiana.
