Weldon Hudson, 67, of Burnettsville, passed away at 6:04 pm, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at his residence. He was born on August 2, 1949 in Kokomo to the late Wilbur and Norma (Hawk) Hudson. On August 19, 1972 he married the former Connie Coble at the Lockport Christian Church and she survives.Weldon was a 1967 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He served during Vietnam and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Subaru in Lafayette. He attended Lockport Church. He loved to golf and gambling at the Blue Chip Casino. Weldon enjoyed watching NASCAR racing on Sunday's and Paw Patrol with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife Connie, he is survived by his children, Chad (Carrie) Hudson of Monticello, Rachel (Andy) Creighton of Burnettsville, and Andrew (Ashley) Hudson of Monticello; siblings, Patty and Connie of Texas, Marcia (Ronnie) of Burnettsville, Joyce of Monticello,Terry of Monticello, Mary of Monticello, Jane (Doug) of Monticello, Jill (Wayne) of Burnettsville, Cindy (Scott) of Idaville, and Stanley (Robin) of Monticello; eleven grandchildren, Imrie, Payslee, Logan, Bentleigh, Mason, Kynlee, Megan, Aubrielle, Blake, Colton, and Drew. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Private family graveside services and burial will be held on Monday in Seceder Cemetery with full military rites. Memorial contributions may be given to the Eastlawn PTO to help purchase books for the school. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.Messages of condolence may be extended at www.springerfuneralhome.com
