Virginia M. "Ginny" Schutte, 76, of Monticello, passed away at 5:00 pm, Friday, May 12, 2017 at White Oak Health Campus.She was born on April 8, 1941 in Green Bay, WI to the late Frank R. and Josephine (Vonckx) Slusarek. On September 16, 1961, in Plymouth, WI she married Royce Schutte and he survives.She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Plymouth, WI and was primarily a homemaker. After graduating from high school, Ginny worked at A&P Cheese Company in Plymouth, WI. She and Royce moved to Monticello 42 years ago and they co-owned the Sears Catalog Store. She then went to work for Dekker's Furniture and Accessories until her retirement.She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church where she was a past president of the Rosary and Altar Sodality and a member of St. Monica's Circle. She volunteered with the local welcome wagon, and delivered for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed bowling, bridge, and euchre. Mostly, she adored her grandchildren and loved watching their sporting events. In addition to her husband, Royce she is survived by her children, Terri (Rick) Price, Julie (Ernie) Boggs all of Monticello, Bob (Wendy) Schutte of Zionsville, Steve (Lourdene) Schutte of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Christina, Jason, Emily, Molly, Dustin, Matt, Andrew, Austin, Kaylee, Trevor, and Molly; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, Tyler, and Aubree.Also preceding her in death was a sister, Nancy Slusarek.Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. The Rosary will be prayed at 3:45 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Father David Rasner celebrating.Interment will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer's Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
