Vasilios "Bill" Villos

Vasilios F. “Bill” Villos, 68, of Reynolds, passed away on the 24th of August, 2023 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, hard work and strength.

Born on August 15, 1955, in the picturesque town of Louka, Greece, he was the cherished son of the late Fotis Villos and Antigone (Giavris) Villos who survives in Kerasitsa, Greece. On June 22, 1986, he married his beloved wife, Sofia Lelekou in Solomos, Greece and she survives.

At the tender age of 14, Bill embarked on a migration journey to the United States with nothing more than the clothes on his back, becoming the living embodiment of the American dream. He began his new life by working in restaurants on the south side of Chicago, where he initially took the role of a busser. It was there that he unearthed his true passion, igniting his career as a skilled cook and successful business owner. A few years later, Bill made his way to the welcoming embrace of Indiana, and for 33 years, it was his cherished home.

Bill and his wife’s Sofia entrepreneurial spirit led them to co-own everyone’s beloved USA Restaurant in Reynolds, eventually expanding their business to Monticello in 2005. Bill possessed an unyielding entrepreneurial drive and courageously embraced calculated risks in various other business ventures, enabling him to support his family, extended family, and the families of those who worked beside him. He exemplified honor and grace and was a helping hand to all.

Bill’s life shines as a beacon of inspiration and a testament to the power of love, diligence and generosity.

Surviving along with his wife, Sofia of Reynolds are his daughter, Antigone "Tonya" Villos of Atlanta, GA; niece, Anastasia Didaskalou of Naperville, IL; brother, John Villos of Monticello; sister-in-law, Georgia Didaskalou of Monticello; and brothers-in-law, George and Alexandros Lelekos both of Corinth, Greece.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Dimitrios Didaskalou.
