Thomas L Pritts, 90, of Burnettsville, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at I U Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

He was born on April 5, 1935, in Adams Township, southeast of Burnettsville to the late Lewis and Dorothy (Arion) Pritts. On August 25, 1956, he married Laurine Altman. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2022.

Tom was a 1953 graduate of Burnettsville High School. While in high school, he worked for Tam's Orchard in Burnettsville. After graduation, he went to work for the railroad until he was drafted in 1957 to the US Army where he served 2 years in Germany during Korea. After returning from the Army, he worked for 11 years at Bryan Manufacturing, followed by 22 years at Wilson Foods in Logansport. When they closed, he went to work at Wabash National until he retired.

Tom was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport. He loved the town of Burnettsville and moved into town in 1961. Tom was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone needing it. He spent most of his life dedicating himself to Burnettsville, serving 38 years as a volunteer fireman and 40 years as the Town Marshall at which time he also maintained roads and town property. Tom enjoyed being with his family, riding around in his golf cart and visiting with friends and neighbors.

He is survived by six children, Tom (Barb) Pritts Jr. of FL, Randy (Jeraldine) Pritts of Burnettsville, Ben Pritts of Burnettsville, Vicky (Doug) Greiner of Lake Cicott, Marcy (Jeff) Nelson of Delphi, Jason (Tonya) Pritts of Burnettsville; eighteen grandchildren, Thomas C. (Bailey) Pritts, Stephen Pritts, Katie Pritts, Hunter Thompson, Katrina Weldon, Dave Roland, Jennifer Garcia, Nick (Emily) Pritts, Nyle Pritts, Keyshia Pritts, Nikita (Jerad) Parsons, Mikayla Greiner, Cody (Lindsay) Nelson, Caleb Nelson, Thomas I. Pritts, Maggie (Pheinyx) Vandervort, Alex Albee, Karlie Albee, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and his siblings; Ed Pritts of Burnettsville and Mary Byrkett of Logansport.

In addition to his wife, Laurine, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Anna May Hogrefe and Helen Howard.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services celebrating Tom's life at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Fr. Dan Duff Officiating.

Burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville with full military rites.
