Teresa S. Terry Johnson, 63, of Delphi, formerly of Indianapolis, died at 12:40 pm, Friday, November 9, 2012 in Delphi. She was born April 11, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Jack Johnson. She was raised by her mother Loretta (Middleton) Hicks, surviving and her step-father James Hicks who precedes her in death. She had worked as a grounds keeper at Stonegate Corporation in Zionsville for the past twenty years. Previously, she was employed as a Special Deputy for the Marion County Sheriffs Department and the Security Director for the William H. Block Department Store in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Zionsville American Legion. She loved horses and was an exceptional horse trainer. She enjoyed fishing. Her Chihuahuas and her great grand-nieces were the joy of her life. She was also a contestant on the Hoosier Lottery Show twice and won both times. She is also survived by her 2 brothers, Danny Johnson of Monticello and Rick (Lynn) Johnson of Winamac; 3 sisters, Sharon (Ted) Guy of Delphi, Peggy (D.J.) Madson of Royal Center, and Jody (John) Franceschina of Delphi; 9 nieces and nephews, Angie Mackey, Chad Johnson, Tera Johnson, Reanna Adams, Jake LeMasters, Alicia Phillips, Staci Zeimer, J.P. Franceschina, and Jayme Franceschina; as well as several great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a niece, Lacee Johnson and nephew Richard Johnson. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of services at 1 pm, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Mark Hines will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello. Memorial contributions may be given to any Humane Society of the donors choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
