Stephen L. Hughes

Stephen L. Hughes, 57, of Monticello, formerly of Reynolds, died at 8:15 pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. He was born October 18, 1955 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Rachel (Davis) Hughes and Curtis Hughes of Reynolds, who survives. Stephen worked as a carpenter and enjoyed camping. Also surviving are his children, daughter, Dana Hughes of Monroe, Iowa; son, Robbie Hughes of Knoxville, Iowa; three sisters, Mary (Lee) Ferdinand of Reynolds, Ann (Ronnie) Oliver of Rensselaer, Rose (Mark) Pochon of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; and eight grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Orville Curtis Hughes. Private services are entrusted to Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
