Shawna R. Lovely

Shawna R. Lovely, 48, of Delphi, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

She was born on October 26, 1974 in Monticello to John R. and Vicky (Hahn) Duncan.

She was a 1993 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and received an associate degree in criminology from Ivy Tech.  She worked as a security guard at Tippecanoe Mall.   

Shawna had many interests.  She was taking Catechism classes. She liked fishing, camping, reading and was a Cubs fan.  Halloween was her favorite holiday. She loved her Huskies and her cats. She enjoyed being with her mom and sister but most especially loved doting over her granddaughter, Caroline who called her Oma, German for grandmother.  

Surviving are her parents, John and Vicky Duncan of Monticello; life partner, Kalep Richardson of Delphi; children, Chasen (Macayla) Lovell of Lafayette, Johnathan Lovely of Delphi, Tristan Lovely of Delphi; sister, Tammy (John) Ohman of Camden; grandchildren, Scarlett and Caroline;  niece, Caitlyn (Jarrett) Baird of Camden; nephew, Robbie (Johnni) Worthington of Flora; great nieces and nephews, Jackson, Caydence, Camille, Finley; and her Huskie fur babies, Wade, Opal, and Scarlett.

Preceding her death was her infant sister, Lorraine Hope Duncan.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm celebrating Shawna's life on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.  Tom Bennett of the Wolcott Christian Church will officiate services.
