Sharon L. Pearson-Elliott

Sharon L. Pearson-Elliott, 65, of Monticello passed away Friday, October 19, 2007, at 10:10 p.m. at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born December 29, 1941 at Michigan City, Indiana to the late Harold L. "Barney" Hughes, and the late Leona R. (Gross) Hughes. Her first marriage was to Tom Pearson on April 13, 1963. He passed away January 13, 1983. She later married Kenneth "Pee Wee" Elliott on October 1, 2004 in Monticello. He survives in Monticello. Mrs. Elliott was a 1960 graduate of Monticello High School. She was raised Lutheran. She was primarily a homemaker, however, she did manage the Monticello Inn for a number of years. Sharon was a member of the Redmens Lodge of Monticello. She enjoyed NASCAR and Stock Car racing. She was an avid Jeff Gordon Fan. She was a lover of country music. She also enjoyed watching Tiger Woods play golf on television. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Survivors include: Son, Duane Pearson of Monticello, IN; Daughter, Rhonda (Johnny) Cabrera of Idaville, IN; 4 Step Daughters, Kathy (Dave) Pugh of Lake Cicott, IN, Tina of SC, Tracey Dillon of Idaville, IN, Stacey (Paul Martin) Todd of Idaville, IN; Step Son, Kenny Elliott, SC; Sister, Penny (Greg) Bidle of Monticello, IN; 5 Grandchildren; 5 Step Grandchildren; One Step Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, and two daughters. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 23 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 11a.m. Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello. Memorials may be given to the family. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
