Sharon E. Faker

Sharon (Zarse) Faker, age 83, passed away on May 1, 2026 in Bloomington, Indiana.

Sharon was born on August 14, 1942, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Leonard C. and Audrey Zarse. She was a 1960 graduate of Chalmers High School. On December 26, 1964, Sharon married James (Jim) Faker in West Lafayette.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and card games. Sharon lived many years in Illinois. After retiring, Sharon moved to North Carolina and then back to Indiana. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and son James Todd Faker; sisters, Marlene Wallace, Karon Kelly and brother, Butch Zarse. 

Sharon is survived by two beautiful grandchildren; Wyatt and Grace, and cherished family members and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Father Dan Duff as Celebrant on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello, Indiana. 

Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at the church.

Burial to follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the church.
