Selma "Lin" Bridge

Selma Lin Bridge, 95, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at White Oak Health Campus.

She was born on July 29, 1928 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Alfus C. and Jennie (Wilson) Reeder. On September 10, 1977 she married Clyde D. Bridge at the family farm. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1998.

Lin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello, where she was a deaconess, involved in the women's circle, shoe box program for Operation Christmas Child out reach program through Samaritans Purse. Lin rang the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas time. She was a former member of the Delphi Eastern Star and Rebekahs and volunteered for the White County Food Pantry. She retired in 1991 from White County Memorial Hospital as the head of housekeeping.  

She is survived by daughter, Melodie Lin Henson; son, Freddie H. Laber;  companion, James A. Wildrick;  granchildren, Jennifer Fisher, Tracy Laber, Sarah Kiefer, Matthew Koning and Colton Tustin; and twelve great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by a son, Rowland H. "Rusty" Tustin; two sisters and two brothers.

Memorial visitation will be on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 10:00 am until time of services celebrating Selma's life at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello First Presbyterian Church.  Envelopes will be available at the church.
