Rosemary Curbox, 93, of Monticello, went home to be with her loving husband, Jack and their Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 5, 2017.She was born on October 17, 1923 in her great grandparents home in Monticello to the late Ray Pinkney and Elsie Marie (Hickle) Anwiler. On March 28, 1943 she married Henry C. "Jack" Curbox and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2008.Rosemary graduated from Monticello High School in 1941. She worked as a legal secretary for Ralph Scowden in Monticello, Bryans Manufacturing in payroll, Fuller Brush, and was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Calvary Temple Church and served as a Sunday School teacher and Missionary Reporter. She also served on the Board of the Monticello Union Township Public Library.She enjoyed gardening and yard work, Euchre, Hand and Foot, cooking, devotional studies and going to Pizza Hut with her church group every Sunday night. She was an avid cat and dog lover and enjoyed watching episodes of I Love Lucy. Most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family.She is survived by son, Dan Curbox of Monticello; daughter, Marianne (Jon) Fryar of Whiteland; grandchildren, Brent (Angel) Curbox of Mooresville, Jason Fryar of Virginia, Autum (Steve) Reames of Monticello, Melody Gruber (Fiance Lucas Tiemeyer) of Fishers, Courtney Simmons of Franklin, Ashley Simmons (Companion Matt Hirt) of Monticello; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Tean, and Clayton Reames, Ezekeil and Zoey Gruber, Aidan Jackson Simmons, Nolan and Harper Curbox; and sister-in-law, Frances Curbox of Monticello.Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2016 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 9 at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Raderstorf officiating.Burial will follow at the Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.
