Ronald Wolf

Ronald "Ron"  Bruce Wolf, 82, of Monticello, passed away at 12:24am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello

He was born on September 3, 1941 in LaPorte to the late Cleo and Irma (Anderson) Wolf. His first marriage was to Earlena Darling.  On September 21, 1968 he married Patricia Schmidt at the Broad Ripple United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.  She survives.

Ron was a graduate of LaPorte High School and attended Purdue University.

He was a member of Zion Bethel Church, where he was involved in many aspects, including being a deacon and singing. He also sang in a family barbershop quartet.

Ron was a service representative for Mazda, which lead to his love of fixing cars, tractors and everything in between. In his retired years, he drove a van for the White County Council on Aging. Ron enjoyed camping, boating, riding motorcycles with church friends and plowing snow for everyone in the neighborhood.  He was always tinkering in his garage, and family and friends enjoyed borrowing tools from "Wolf's Hardware.” Ron had a love for every flavor of ice cream, M&M's and all things peanut butter.

He is survived by three children, Tracy Fierro of Bettendorf, IA, Dawn (Deana) Wolf of Indianapolis, David (Amber) Wolf of Birmingham, AL; two siblings, Barbara Boston of Granger and Judy Dolick of LaPorte; grandchildren, Bethany, Emalia (Travis), Ana, Megan, Kevin (Madison) and four great grandchildren with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family has planned a celebration of life at Zion Bethel Church on Saturday, February 24, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a service planned at 3:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be given to Zion Bethel Church or online to hopeforuganda.net. Memorials may be sent to Patricia Wolf C/O Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home at 202 South Illinois Street, Monticello, IN  47960.
