Ronald E. Kirkham, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly on October 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born on June 28, 1957, in Champagne, Illinois, Ronald was the cherished son of Charles R. and Wanda E. Kirkham. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Gordon, and his sisters Ida Mae Murray, Christina Titus, and Priscilla.

Ronald's life was a tapestry woven with adventure, dedication, and family. A proud graduate of Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Indiana, class of 1976, Ronald embarked on a journey that took him first into the service of his country as a member of the Army.

In 1995, Ronald married the love of his life, Vonda Samuels, in Monticello, Indiana. Their bond, both personal and professional, was a testament to true partnership as they embarked on a shared career as long haul semi drivers. Ronald and Vonda traveled the country together, enjoying the open road and the ever-changing landscapes. It was this love for travel and adventure that defined much of Ronald's life.

Ronald had a zest for life that was infectious. Known for his quick wit and warm smile, he had an uncanny ability to make everyone around him feel welcomed and at ease, often with a joke to lighten the mood. His hobbies reflected his love for camping, boating, and fishing with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Vonda Kirkham of Orleans, Indiana, and his loving siblings Rose Cook (Walton), Hazel (Bob) King (Monticello), Chucky Kirkham (Monticello), and Edith (Chuck) Collins (Oregon). Ronald's legacy is further carried on by his children, Ronald J. Kirkham (Michigan City), Monica (Jerry) Arrendono (Texas), Michael (Rebekah) Kirkham (Tennessee), Richard Davis Jr (Indianapolis), James (Kimberly) Davis (Indianapolis), Jonathan Davis (Tennessee), and Jeremy Davis (Indianapolis). He was the proud grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Ronald's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, yet his spirit and the memories shared will continue to inspire and comfort his family and friends knowing that he became a donor and has given the gift of life to others.

As we remember Ronald E. Kirkham, let us celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and adventure. May his legacy continue to guide and inspire us all.

The family is organizing a celebration of Life to be held at Pine View Golf Course W. Norway Rd. Monticello, Indiana on Sunday, November 22, 2026 from 1-5 pm.
