Ronald N. Halsen, Sr.
He was born on September 20, 1934 in East Chicago to the late Ragnvald and Mary (Zalac) Halsen.
On August 23, 1958 he married Rochelle Seabloom in Chicago, Illinois. She survives in Monticello.
Ronald was a 1952 graduate from East Chicago Washington High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and his masters degree from Indiana University.
Ronald was a retired high school administrator.
He was a lifetime member and past president of the Rotary International Club.
Ronald collected and worked on model trains and enjoyed boating and living the lake life with his wife, Rochelle.
Along with his wife, Rochelle, he is survived by two sons, Ronald Halsen, Jr. and Randy (Lana) Halsen both of Monticello; two grandchildren, Alex Halsen of Monticello and Ashley Halsen of Chicago.
Memorial Services will be held privately for the family.
