Robert E. Vandervort

Robert Eugene Vandervort, 35, of Muskegon, MI, formerly of Monticello, passed away at 9:00 am, Friday, April 15, 2016 at his residence.He was born on August 21, 1980 in Las Vegas to David W. (step-mother, Terri) Vandervort, Sr. of Monticello, and the late Evelyn (Dubuque) Vandervort. Robert liked to be on the beach, tinker and do welding in his basement. He enjoyed hiking and spending time with his family. He is also survived by fiance Kimberly Pollock of Muskegon, MI; his children, Jessica Vandervort of Monticello, Pheinyx Vandervort of Monticello, and Audrey Vandervort of Muskegon, MI; five brothers, David (Rachel) Vandervort of Monticello, Harold "Bud" (Delene) Vandervort of Reynolds, James (Janet) Vandervort of Kokomo, Jack Floyd of Frankfort, Glen (Stephanie) Floyd of Lafayette; four sisters, Ida Floyd of Lafayette, Bel (Mark) Taylor of Lafayette, Mary Lowe of Lafayette, Beverly Sterrit of North Las Vegas, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to the family for the benefit of his children.
