Richard Mark Houchin

Richard Mark Houchin, 62, of Camden, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his residence.He was born on April 5, 1955 in Bloomington to Donald F. and Ruth Virginia "Ginny" (Witten) Houchin now of Monticello.Mark was a 1973 graduate of Benton Central High School and worked at Fairfield Manufacturing. He attended Oak Grove Church, where at one time he was very active. At one time, he had also been active in the Masonic Lodge in Lafayette. He had been a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and formerly the Murat Shrine of Indianapolis. He enjoyed wood working, flying radio control air planes, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Mark enjoyed bowling, golf, and riding his motorcycle and participating in many benefit rides. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by three children, Jason A. (Sokkim) Houchin of Escondido, CA, Aubrey (Pawel) Zajac of Lafayette, Fauna (Noel) Robinos of Chicago; brothers, Donald Lyle Houchin of CA and Dwight D. (Michelle) Houchin of Bloomington, IL; sister, Denise Leslie Greives of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Eva, Jason, Jr., Emma, Ania, and Ellis; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be from 11:00 until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello, with Rev. Brian Beeks of the Monticello United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
