Richard Lee 'Rick' Morgan

Richard Lee "Rick" Morgan, 53, of Burnettsville, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
He was born on October 5, 1967 in Lafayette to the late Donald Cole and Nancy (Bond) Morgan. His mother later remarried and was known as Nancy Bauer.
He had worked at Canam Steel, worked as a roofer, and in maintenance at Lost Acres.
Rick loved cars and tinkering. He enjoyed fishing, treasure hunting and then refurbishing his finds. He loved his kitties, especially Spunky, his handsome boy.
He is survived by long time companion, Julie Akers of Burnettsville; sisters, Lisa (Jeff) Scarlett of Lafayette, and Stacey (Marc) Meech of NC; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Steve Morgan.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services celebrating Rick's life at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor Randy Skidmore officiating.
Burial will follow in Farmers Institute Cemetery in Lafayette.
Memorial contributions may be given to Isaiah 117 House in Lafayette. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
