Peggy Jo Harrison

Peggy Jo Harrison, 76, of Monticello, passed away at 2:05 am, Saturday, November 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born on October 16, 1938 in Johnson City, TN to the late Fred and Pansy (Durham) Hawkins. Peggy attended Christ Church of Monticello. She worked as a custodian at Roosevelt Middle School until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, and cooking. Surviving are her children, Michael Lowe, and Cindy Harrison (companion, James Edwards) both of Monticello; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Thelma Martin and Teresa Ward; son, Lonnie Lowe; sister, Mary Jones; and brother, Charles Hawkins. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Nydegger of Christ Church of Monticello officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
