Peggy Evelyn Beatty

Peggy Evelyn Beatty went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2018. She was born on February 23, 1920 in Elmherst, CA. to John and Maude Towers and grew up in San Francisco, CA. She was the youngest of four children, Milton, Loretta and Howard. All preceded her in death. Peggy met her husband, Alfred "Ab" Beatty during WW2 and they were married on July 21, 1945. They moved to Huntington, PA. and lived there together for 50 years. Ab preceded her in death in December 1995. Peggy has resided in Monticello with her daughter and son-in-law for the last 7 years.
Peggy loved sports, especially playing women's baseball in school and later playing golf with her family. Peggy was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught children's Sunday school. After moving to Monticello, she became a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Melody (Doug) Darrow of Monticello and son Fred (Helen) Beatty of Broomall, PA; five grandchildren, Tricia (David)Webner, Bryan (Marilisa) Beatty, Daniel (Margaret) Darrow, David Darrow, and Devon (Mason) McTeer; and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial Donations may be given to the Monticello United Methodist Church or Viaquest Hospice, 724 W. Navajo St. West Lafayette, IN 47906
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Petersburg, PA.
