Mary Stangle, 76, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.

She was born on June 19, 1949 in Yokosuka, Japan to the late John and Sada (Watanabi) Stangle.

She was a 1968 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. She had worked at Bryan Manufacturing, Monticello Healthcare and most recently at Rural King in maintenance. 

She was a member of Zion Bethel Church and very active in senior activities at the church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking.

She is survived by a brother, Eukie J. Stangle of Monticello; nephew, Joseph Stangle of Lafayette; niece, Betheny (Wade) Scott of Monticello; great nieces, Aurora and Claira Stangle.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Rhonda Stangle.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Pastor Jeff Messer officiating.

Burial will follow in Bell Center Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Bethel Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
