Mary Lou Anderson 85, of Monticello, passed away at 9:49pm, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.She was born on December 23, 1930 in White County to the late Ernest W. and Bertha (Campbell) Krintz. On January 28, 1951 she married Wayne C. Anderson in Reynolds and he preceded her in death March 7, 2006 .She was a 1948 graduate of Monticello High School. She retired as the manager of White County Abstract in 1993 following 30 years of dedicated service.Mary Lou was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello where she was active in the church choir which she directed for many years. She served as Elder, a Deacon, and Session Clerk Treasurer. She was also a member of the Alpha Nu Music Club and was active with the Wednesday Reading Club.Mary Lou enjoyed reading anything historical especially about people and places. One of her favorite books was Flyboy, by James Bradley, a true story of courage. She also enjoyed musicals and stage, sewing, quilting, and playing golf.She is survived by her children, Thomas William Anderson of Houston, TX, John Carmi (wife, Lois Mills) Anderson of Columbus, David Robert (Janie) Anderson of Monticello, Mary Kathryn (Roger) Maxwell of Martinsville; twelve grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.Also preceding her in death was her son, Kerry Wayne Anderson; brothers, Robert F. and Ernest Richard "Dick" Krintz; and her sister, Phyllis Jean Jewett.Visitation will be on Monday, October 10, 2016 from noon until the time of services at 3 pm celebrating Mary Lou's life at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello with Rev. Lyle Ewing officiating. Presbyterian Deacon Prayer Circle will be at 11:45am at the church. Burial will follow at Pleasant Run Cemetery, rural Delphi.Memorial contributions may be given to Alpha Nu Music Club to grant opportunities for youth in music. Envelopes will be available at the church.Messages of condolence may be extended at www.springerfuneralhome.com
