Mary Letha Korpita

Mary Letha Korpita, 71, of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.

She was born on July 4, 1952 in Logansport to the late Hubert and Maurine (Beman) Wilson. On December 27, 1991 she married Frank L. Korpita in Monticello. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2012.

She was a 1970 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and then attended Indiana University and Ft. Wayne International Business College from where she received an associate degree. She worked at Wabash National for 15 years and then at Roosevelt Middle School for 15 years where she was a custodian and retired.   

She was a member of Monticello Christian Church.  She liked to read and do puzzles. She enjoyed her 70's girls luncheon club, and she loved cats and dogs.

She is survived by sister, Emily Sweet of Algood, TN; brother, Chester B. Wilson of Monticello; nieces, Erin (Michael) McCollum of TN, Dr. Nicole Wilson (Tom Hall) of FL, Brandy (Michael) Jurdzy of MI, Sierra Wilson of IN; great nieces, Ashlynn McCollum, Kennedy Hall, Harper Jurdzy, Drew Jurdzy; great nephew, Grant Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frank, she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bruce Sweet.

Private burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
