Mary Josephine Galloway, 99, of Monticello, passed away at 9:30 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. She was born on August 9, 1915 in Cass County to the late Carl and Josephine (Barr) Galloway. She was a graduate of Royal Center High School. and was and received her Registered Nursing training from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Kokomo. Mary had worked in the O.B. department at the old St. Joseph Hospital in Logansport for several years and later worked at the old White County Memorial Hospital for several years. Miss Galloway worked twelve years as a nurse at the old RCA Plant in Monticello. Mary had also served as a nurse in Dr. Nolan Hibner's office in Monticello for several years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Mary is survived by several very close friends, her extended family. Also preceding her in death was a brother, John "Bud" Galloway. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Fathers Razner, Goodrum, and Meinrad concelebrating. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 at the church. The church is located at 543 South Main Street, Monticello. Burial will follow at St.Vincent's Cemetery in Logansport. Memorial contributions may be given to the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with envelopes available at the church. Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.
