Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Haygood, 87, of Monticello formerly of Yeoman, passed away at 11:28 am, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at White Oak Health Campus.
She was born on June 17, 1934 in White County to the late Bernard and Mary (Murray) Dolick. Her first marriage was to Weldon Dean Farmer and preceded her in death. She later married James Samuel Haygood on September 11, 1954 in Monticello and he preceded her in death February 18, 2001.
Liz was a member of the Idaville Church of God and loved her Catholic heritage. She loved being a homemaker and her family truly was her life. She enjoyed camping, cooking and was known for her chicken and noodles, and bouncing and snuggling her grandbabies. Liz loved to attend and watch her children and grandchildren at their sporting events.
Surviving are her children, John (Diane)Farmer of Monticello, Terry (Lorranie) Haygood of Churubusco, James E. (Kelly) Haygood of Monticello; two sons-in-law, Brad Adams and Steve Dlugosz; daughter-in-law Janet Haygood; 13 grandchildren; 5 bonus grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by daughters, Linda Adams and Donna Dlugosz; son Ronnie Haygood; and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm (EDT) until 8:00 pm Monday, July 12, 2021 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services celebrating Liz's life will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Raderstorf officiating.

Burial will follow in Yeoman Cemetery.
