Martha Ann Viney

Martha Ann Viney, 82, of Monticello, passed away at 3:35 pm, Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home in Monticello.She was born February 24, 1934 in Wolcott to the late John and Anna (Mellon) Christopher.Martha married Roger Viney on May 5, 1956 at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2010. Martha was a member of Cross Roads for Life Church. She was also a member of the Readers Digest Club and was a past member of the Women of the Moose. She and her husband Roger were members of the Monticello Lakers Motorcycle Club. She worked in the cafeteria at Twin Lakes High School.She enjoyed reading, cleaning, camping, and riding motorcycles. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.She is survived her children, Greg (Cindy) Viney of Monticello, Dean (Ann) Viney of Monticello, Anita (Jim) Hicks of Lafayette, Sherry (Chuck) Minnicus of Wolcott, Tara A. (Jon) Provo of Monticello; step-daughter, Denise (Pete) Reszkowski of Hartford City; brother, Robert (Susan) Christopher of Indianapolis; 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way.Along with her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by a brother Leroy Christopher and great granddaughter, Lucy.Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Cross Roads of Life Church of Monticello. The family will also receive visitors one hour prior to services Friday at the church.Funeral services celebrating Martha's life will be at 10:30 am, Friday, May 6, 2016 at the church.Burial will follow at the Yeoman Cemetery.Memorial donations may be given in Martha's name to Cross Roads of Life Church.
