Marjorie Jo 'Marge' Quackenbush

Marjorie Jo "Marge" Quackenbush, 82, of Monticello, passed away on May 6, 2022, at The Springs at Lafayette.Marge was born on January 11, 1940, in Monticello, to the late Caleb and Inez (Knight) Cauble. She married James W. "Jim" Quackenbush on January 21, 1956, in Frankfort. He survives.
Marge was a homemaker while her children were young. She later owned and operated Luigis Italian Sausage concession stand at Indiana Beach Amusement Park with her husband. She was an astute businessperson and enjoyed working with teenagers and employing many of her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Idaville First Church of God. She was active in Wednesday morning Bible study. She also enjoyed making noodles with the ladies of the church.
Marge enjoyed puzzles, making Christmas candy, quilting, and supporting Purdue athletics. She made beautiful baby blankets and quilts for each of her 21 great-grandchildren.
Surviving with her husband Jim is a daughter, Alicia (Jim) Wright of Monticello; son-in-law Tom Oilar of Monticello; sister Marilyn (John) Crowell of Delphi and Martha Davidson of Zionsville; nine grandchildren, Trent (Laura) Wright, Amy (Garry) Foster, Brandon (Darlena) Wright, Johnathan Wright, Jill (Andy) Cocanower, Stacie (Trent) Ewing, Adam (Ashley) Wright, Tommy (Chelsey) Oilar, and Lindsay Miller; and twenty-one great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Marge was preceded in death by sons Joseph W. Quackenbush and James W. Quackenbush, Jr. and daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Oilar; and brother, Marvin Cauble.
Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm (EDT) on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services celebrating Marges life will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Idaville First Church of God with envelopes available at the funeral home.
