Marjorie Clothier

Marjorie E. Clothier, 92, of Monticello, passed away at 8:07 am, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. She was born on July 30, 1922 in Adrian, Michigan to the late Charles Walker and Bertha (Viola) MacKinnon. On June 28, 1947 she married Perry Clothier in Detroit, Michigan. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Clothier was a member of White Oak United Methodist Church and attended Zion Bethel Church. She worked at Bryans Manufacturing and then at White County Memorial Hospital in inventory management. She was once very active at the White County Council on Aging , where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Mrs. Clothier loved and wrote music and her favorite instrument was the violin. She cherished her family and time spent with them. She is survived by son, Donald (Beulah) Clothier of Danville; daughter, Valerie S. Stevenson of Monticello; daughter-in-law, Connie Clothier-Nolen of Burnettsville; eleven grandchildren, Carey Clothier, Jeremy (Becky) Clothier, Matthew Shane (Tami) Clothier, Sherry (Greg Jr.) Vogel, Trace (Mike) Chapman, Kimberly (Dave) Long, Kristy (Jeremy) Gray, Nicole (Tony) Deibel, Ryan (Kristen) Clothier, Troy (Dana) Stevenson, Nathanael Stevenson; 29 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren; several cousins and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Demarr Clothier, daughters, Mardean Clothier and Patricia Clothier, son-in-law, Michael Stevenson, sister, Catherine MacKinnon and one great grandchild. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Messer of the Zion Bethel Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Indian Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Bashor Children's Home or to The Crossings Alternative School in Reynolds. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
