Margaret H. Goodwin

Margaret H. "Marge" Goodwin, 94, of Monticello, formerly of Wolcott passed away at 2:18 pm, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born on October 29, 1919 in Lafayette to the late Joe and Pearl Humphrey. On September 5, 1936 she married James A. Goodwin and he preceded her in death June 28, 1997. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Palestine Christian Church in Wolcott and a member of the White County Saddle Club. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Dottie Goodwin of Remington; grandsons, Kevin (Nancy) Goodwin of Remington, Steve (Cindy) Goodwin of Remington, Andrew (Heather) Goodwin of West Lafayette; five great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sons, Charles "Art" and Melvin Goodwin. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Palestine Christian Church with Rev. Guy Brown officiating. The church is located at 7275 West 400 North, Wolcott, IN. Burial will follow at Remington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Palestine Christian Church with envelopes available. Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.
