Lois Lynn Farris, 99, of Monon, passed away at 9:45 pm, Friday, November 5, 2021 at her residence in Monon.
She was born on January 30, 1922 to the late Edward L. and Reba (Brown) Lowe.
Her marriage was to Willard N. Farris in 1945. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1997.
She attended grade and high school at Monon and graduated from there in 1940, and from International Business College in Ft. Wayne in November of 1941.
Lois Lynn had been employed at the Indianapolis office of the FBI and in later years for a brief time at Jasper Newton Mental Health Center in Rensselaer. With the exception of 5 years, Lois Lynn had resided on the Lowe farm, east of Monon, where she raised chickens, ducks, turkeys, sheep, hogs and assisted her father and husband in the production of registered Polled Hereford Cattle. She was co-manager of the Lynn-Tot Floral, a flower shop based on the farm.
She enjoyed and appreciated the beauties of nature and it's birds, animals, plants and have left all of the farm acreage to organizations who will forever preserve it as a prairie and wildlife entity.
She is survived by a niece, Pat Denton of Newburgh, IN; many cousins and good friends and her beloved little dog, Molly.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 10, 2021 from 12:00 pm until the time of services at 2:00 pm celebrating Lois Lynn's life at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Burial will follow at the Bedford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Indiana, 402 W. Washington Street W-267, Indianapolis, IN 46204. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
