Leta B. Tam, 79, of Idaville, died at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was born October 11, 1927, in Monticello, to the late Edgar Neier and the late Deva (Cochran) Neier She married Robert L. Tam on October 11, 1952 at Walton, IN. They were married by the Rev. Robert Ross. Robert L. Tam died April 12, 1996. Mrs. Tam was a 1946 Graduate of Monticello High School and she attended the International Business College, Ft. Wayne for two years. Mrs. Tam was a homemaker. She had attended the Pious Chapel Church at Idaville. She was a 51 year member of the Lincolnlites Extension Club and quilted with the organization. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking, and was an avid reader. Mrs. Tam was a member of the 46 Girls Club. She was a former member of Crystal Chapter OES #153, Monticello. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America North West Indiana Chapter P.O. Box 2763 Portage, IN 46368 Envelopes for memorial donations will also be available at the funeral home. She is survived by 3 Sons, Paul W. ( wife Bonnie) Tam of Monticello , IN, Michael K. Tam of Monticello, IN, Bradley K. Tam of Idaville, IN; 1 Daughter, Margaret A. Tam of Peru, IN; 5 Grandchildren,; 5 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM, Friday, March 16 in Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home Services will be on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. in Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with Pastor Chris Dodson of the Monticello Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Idaville Cemetery.
