Leroy G. Crawford

Leroy G. Crawford, 77, of Lafayette, formerly of Monon passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on January 31, 1946 in Monon to the late Robert Gail and Violet Lorene (McCollum) Crawford.

Leroy attended Monon Community Church. He loved to cook and made a career as a chef at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. He enjoyed watching the news and crocheting. He cherished his mother.

He is survived by a daughter, Julia Hutchins; sister, Donna (Larry) Bush of Monticello; grandchildren, John Hutchins, Kelly Hutchins; step grandchildren, Cheyanne Hutchins, and Dakota Hutchins.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, George Robert "Bobby" Crawford.

Visitation will be from 11am until the time of services at 1pm celebrating Leroy's life on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rev. Don Newman will officiate services.

Burial will follow in Bedford Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Monon Community Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
