Kimiko Lindley, 97, of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at her residence.
She was born on January 20, 1928 in Masakake Bando City, Ibarakli Prefecture, Japan to the late Sikh and Tayo Seta. On February 9, 1960, she married Robert Lindley, Sr. at the United States Navy Base in Yokosuka, Japan. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1989.
She came to the United States in 1967. She worked at Bryans Manufacturing, and then Woodlawn School. She loved to garden, sew, knit and crochet. She became a proud United States Citizen in 1996.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Bernice) Lindley, Jr. of Monticello, John Lindley (Angel Wright) of Monticello, Joseph (Debra) Lindley of Idaville, Irene (Kevin) O'Neal of Monticello; siblings, Setsuko Igarashi, Japan, Fumio (Tadao) Seta of Japan; grandchildren, Pamela Bautista, Kathy Tribbett, Brian Lindley, Robby Lindley, Akina Lindley, Tony Lindley, Keyona Lindley, Raiden Lindley; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert and a brother and a sister.
Celebration of life services will be held at the convenience of the family.
