John Paul Pinn

John Paul Pinn, 63, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at I U Health White Memorial Hospital.


He was born on October 17, 1959 in Chicago to the late Robert D. and Sandra (Courtesy) Pinn. He married the former Rita Nuss and she survives.


He worked as a painter for Girtz Industries. He worked hard and was dedicated to his family. John was a man of faith and had recently been re-baptized.


In addition to his wife, Rita, he is survived by his mother, Sandra Pinn of Chicago; son, John Pinn (Kelsie McDuff), granddaughter, Kearstyn Pinn of Charleston, SC; stepchildren, Scott (Joy) Howard of Gilbert, AZ, Randy (Bobbi) Howard of Ashville, NC, Michael Howard (Dora Morales) of Monticello; brother, Robert "Bobby" Pinn (wife, Nicole Hallier-Pinn) of Demotte; sister, Deborah Courtesy of Waukegan, IL; step grandchildren, Trace, Faith, Christian, Kendall, and Maddon Howard; nieces, Mackenzie M. Pinn, Connie Scala, Lori Meyers, Melissa Meyers; nephews, Jesse (Dominique) Clabough, Francis Robert Pinn, Nicholas K. Pinn, Reed R. Pinn; and his aunt, Connie Bertucci of Chicago as well as several great nieces and nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Pinn.


Memorial visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of memorial services celebrating John's life at 12:30 pm Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.


Memorial contributions may be given to a drug rehabilitation organization of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
