Jerry Jay "Bone" Bonnell, 58, of Idaville died at 8:55 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on May 23, 1954 in White County, near Idaville to Albert and Alveretta (Hamilton) Bonnell. He was engaged to be married to Debra (Gresham) Richmond of Idaville. When he was younger he was employed by Bill Businger Sunoco and for more than twenty years was employed by J. H. Saylor, Burnettsville working as a delivery driver and also in the warehouse. Jerry drove truck for Wrede and Sons for a period of time, as well as having worked for Tru Flight Arrow. Jerry enjoyed restoring the house he grew up in. He loved his old cars and his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He also enjoyed camping, canoeing, and collecting. He is survived by a son, Brandon Bonnell (fiance Jessica Jones) of West Lafayette; daughter, Allison Bonnell (fianc, Jerry Maxson) of Monticello; adopted sons, Brent Evans (fiance Samantha Scharlach) of Fort Wayne, Cory (Verity) Evans of Vermont; adopted daughter, Delanea Richmond, still at home; two sisters, Carolyn (Max) Cunningham of Idaville, Janet (Bill) Robinson of Tennessee; and 7 grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Melvin, and Ralph Bonnell; and a sister, Athalene Mills. Graveside memorial services will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Idaville Cemetery, Idaville with the Rev Ken Smith officiating.
