Jeffrey "JK" Scott Krintz, 63, of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at I U Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

He was born on May 20, 1960 in Monticello to the late Robert F. Krintz and Ruth Ann (Doyle) Mitchell. On April 1, 2011 he married Tonya Lane in Monticello and she survives.

He was a 1978 graduate of North White High School and was active in most sports.  JK was a plumber by trade, but his passion was music.  He played in several different bands starting in 8th grade.  He played the drums, guitar, bass and keyboard and was a singer.  Most would know him as a member of the Tone Bones.  JK enjoyed golf and was a member of Pine View and Tippecanoe Golf leagues.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and Redmen's Lodge.  He was an animal lover and especially loved his cat, Ozzy and dog, Sheldon.  Most of all he cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.  

In addition to his wife, Tonya and mother, Ruth Ann (Randy) Mitchell, he is survived by four daughters, Lindsey (Brock) Haselby of Monticello, Carly (Josh) Hepler of Fishers, Kayla Luzadder of Monticello, Samantha (Gavin) Kidder of Muncie; two siblings, Shellie (Jeff) Ruemler of Monon, Shannon Krintz of Monticello; father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Judith Lane; two sisters-in-law, Kim (Tim) Smith, Deanna (Brian) Lane-Shanahan; brother-in-law, Randy (Steph) Lane; eleven grandchildren, Adam, Jace, Evelyn, Henry, Laine, Luke, Seth, Hunter, Kora, Freya, Emery; aunts and uncles, Richard (Barbara) Doyle of Monon, Verna (Richard) Ashby of Wolcott, Connie (Jerry) Harmon of Monticello, Linda Houser of Chalmers.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a son, Adam Jeffrey Krintz; maternal grandparents, Frank and Dorothy Doyle; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Bertha Krintz; aunts and uncles, Leroy and Norma Doyle, Paul and Jenna Doyle, Ronald and Peggy Doyle, Herbert Houser, Betty and Richard Kesler, Wayne and Marylou Anderson, Louis and Phyllis Jewett, Richard Krintz; many cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Fr. Dan Duff officiating.

Private burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the White County Community Foundation with the memo saying "Adam Krintz Scholarship Fund".  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
