Jeanne John

Jeanne M. John, 92, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away at 4:20 am, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at St. John's Residential Care Home Inc. in Fort Worth.She was born on March 7, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late Forrest and Wilma (Biddle) Weaver. On February 7, 1944 she married Marion John in Monticello and he preceded her in death May 3, 1996.Jeanne attended community college studying accounting. She worked in payroll accounting at Mohawk Tools Inc. in Montpelier, OH from which she retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Montpelier, OH where she attended until she and Marion moved to Logansport. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing and being a homemaker. Surviving are her children, Susan (Ron) Williamson of Granbury, TX, Steven (Cynthia) John of Tulsa, OK, Shane (Ann) John of Arlington, TX, Lisa (Wayne) Harrar of Mechanicsville, VA; sisters, Lola Snavely of Flora, Ann Jeffers of Logansport, Margaret (Max) Van Meter of Monticello, Betty Smith of Monticello, Marcia (Richard) Funk of Royal Center; seven grandchildren, Joe Conti of Keene, TX, Ryan Williamson of Houston TX, Lauren Williamson of Granbury, TX, Christopher John of Houston TX, Stephanie Kropfinger of Oklahoma City, OK, Paige Harrar of Baltimore, MD; and three great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by brothers, Lyle, Larry, and Wayne Weaver.Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of services at 1 pm celebrating Jeanne's life, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rev. John Westfall from St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Delphi will officiate services.Burial will follow in Idaville Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Alzheimer's Association.
