James K. Firth

James K. "Jr" Firth, 68, of Lafayette, formerly of Reynolds passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007, at 4:29 pm at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. He was born January 14, 1939 at Reynolds, in the family home to the late Samuel K. Firth and the late Helen Marie(Burnett) Firth. His marriage was Nadra S. (Livengood) Firth on September 27, 1967 in Monticello at the former Christian Church. She survives in Lafayette. Jr was a 1957 graduate of Reynolds High School, Reynolds. He served in the Army from 1965-1967 in Germany during Vietnam and the Cuban Crisis. He was a Butcher and Meat Specialist at the Delphi, Brookston and Francesville IGA's. He was a member of the American Legion, and the VFW both of Monticello. Survivors include: 2 Daughters, Renada L. Firth Dowden of Lafayette, IN, Pamela K. (Scott) Firth Crowell of Lafayette, IN, 1 Son,Jamie Firth of Frankfort, IN Brother, Elmer (Debbie) Firth of Reynolds, IN 3 Sisters, Henrietta (Pat) Bath of West Lafayette, IN, Mary Jane (Dick) Emery of Brookston, IN, Eva (Robert) Douglass of Arizonia Granddaughter, Celina Firth of Monticello, IN; Step-Granddaughter, Patience Patterson of Lafayette, IN he was preceded in death by his parents, and one Grandson Devin Dowden Visitation will held from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home Private Family Services will be held at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Father Fintan Cummings of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Reynolds officiating. Burial will be at Hughes Cemetery with full military rites.
