Jack V. Judd, 82, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 1, 2025.

He was born on October 13, 1942, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Cecil and Aileen (Duits) Judd. On November 28, 1974, he married Rosa Perez in Monticello, and she survives.

Jack owned and operated Judd Pools & Spas for more than 40 years. The 1974 tornado brought him to Monticello, where he helped rebuild the community. He worked as a block layer and contributed to the construction of the courthouse and many other buildings. Jack loved to work, and it was fitting that he passed away on Labor Day. He loved people and never knew a stranger. Above all, he cherished his family and friends. His son lovingly described him as “an amazing father.”

He was a member of Libanus Lodge #165 F&AM and a former member of the Murat Shrine in Indianapolis. He was an avid race car fan, enjoying many Sundays watching various races. Jack’s kitchen island was a favorite after work “watering hole” for so many over the years. He also loved to host his annual Memorial Day and Labor Day pool parties where love was shared and life was celebrated, resulting in countless special memories for his family and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife Rosa, Jack is survived by his children, Robin (Van) Petit, Melissa (Drew) Wieder, Jay (Jayne) Judd, Cecil Judd (Natalie Rilenge), Clint Judd, Christopher Judd, and Calvin Judd; his sister, Judy Bertram; nephews Richard, Mike, Bob and John Williams; ten grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren, with two more expected. Jack also cherished being a beloved father figure to Jorge Perez, Carmen and Eddie Reyes, and Jeff and Scott Miller.

Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Judd.

Private graveside services and burial will take place at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the Monticello AMVETS on October 11, 2025 from noon - 4:00 pm located at 219 Northwestern Ave, Monticello, IN 47960.
