Ivan Wayne Wilhelm, 81, Michigan City, IN passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 12:30 am at the Arbor Healthcare in Michigan City. He was born January 21, 1926 in Wisconsin to the late Harold Wilhelm and the late Hazel (Zimmer)Wilhelm. He married Lillie Mae (Reynolds) Wilhelm November 28, 1964 in the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour,Monticello. She survives in Michigan City. Mr. Wilhelm graduated from Otterbein High school in 1944. He attended Purdue University for 1 Academic year. He served in the United States the Air Force during World War II. He was a Crane Operator for Bethlhem Steel in Burns Habor, MI. He was a member of the World Wide Church of God in Michigan City. He was also a member of VFW Post #37, Michigan City. Memorials may be made to the Michigan City VFW Post #37. Envelopes will be availble at the funeral home. Survivors include Step Son, Gary (Julie) Neely of Monticello, IN; 2 Step Daughters, Christine Pickett of Flora , IN, Sandra Weigle of Michigan City, IN; 4 Sisters, Loretta Doedon of Otterbein, IN, Vesta Ward of West Lafayette, IN, Carol (Perry) Neff of Otterbein, IN, Paula (Dick) VanHorn of Otterbein, IN; Brother, Stanley Wilhelm of Lafayette, IN; 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by parents. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM (EDT), Tuesday, June 26, 2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 27, 2007, 1PM (EDT). Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monticello.
