Ivan 'Ike' W. Roth

Ivan "Ike" W. Roth, 84, of Monticello died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 6:15pm, in White County Memorial Hospital. He was born August 24, 1922 in White County to the late Lloyd I. Roth and to the late Donna Lucille (Price)Roth White. Ivan was raised by his late Stepfather Basil White He married the late Helen M. Roth on February 23, 1946 in Monticello. She passed away October 1 , 2006 He graduated from Monticello High School in 1941. Mr. Roth served in the United States Marine Corp in the South Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1945. Mr. Roth was a plaster worker for Bown Bettin in Lafayette. He retired after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Eagles, American Legion Post #81, VFW Post # 2231, and Odd Fellows Lodge #107 all of Monticello. He loved watching and playing sports of all kinds. Memorials may be made to the White County Council on Aging Survivors: Daughter, Suzan (Cary) Leazenby of Monticello, IN; Son, James I. (Janice) Roth of Yeoman, IN; Grandchildren: Julia Splawn of Monticello, Andrea (Mark)Mummert of Monticello and Grandson Douglas Roth Great Grandson: Darick Roth Step Great Grandsons: Zachary and Alexander Mummert Preceded in Death: Parents, wife, brother;Raymond Roth, Step Brother, Donal White Graveside Funeral Services will be held April 25, 2007 at 10:30AM at the Hughes Cemetery near Monticello, with the Reverend Chris Dodson officiating. Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, 202 South Illinois Street Monticello, IN is in charge of arrangements.
