Inez M Hacker

Inez M. "Beanie" Hacker, 93, of Monticello, passed away at 9:25 pm, Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Whispering Pines Rehabilitation Center in Monticello. She was born on April 21, 1921 in Idaville to the late Henry and Bertha (Godlove) Sinks. She married John E. Hacker on June 25, 1950 in Monticello. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1979. She graduated from Idaville High School and was the valedictorian of her class. Mrs. Hacker was a factory worker at RCA retiring in 1982 after 42 years of service. Mrs. Hacker was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW since 1950. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She liked to read and loved traveling with friends. She is survived by two sons, John "Steve" (Dennetta) Hacker of Monticello and David D. Hacker of West Lafayette; two granddaughters, Rozlyn (Rob) Batta of Otterbein, Megan Hacker of West Lafayette; a step granddaughter, Alissa Hayworth of Lafayette; and two great grandchildren, Ethan Carlson and Ava Batta. She was also preceded in death by a two sisters, Jane O'Blenis and Eva Hindsley. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Monday, October 13, 2014 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Graveside services will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. cemetery at 12:15 pm in rural Monticello. Online condolences and expressions of smypathy may be given at www.springerfuneralhome.com.
