Hilda L. 'Auntie' Plumb

Hilda L. "Auntie" Plumb, 72, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 7:14 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers, Beech Grove, following a battle with Acute Lukemia. She was born July 12, 1935 in Monon, Indiana to the late Lewis Hastings and the late Viva (Maggert) Hastings. Her marriage was to William Plumb. He is deceased. Mrs. Plumb attended Sitka Baptist Church. She was retired from Indiana Pressed Steel formerly of Muncie, IN. She enjoyed cooking, bingo, and ceramics. She also enjoyed spending time at her home in Tennessee. Survivors: Sister, Betty (Irvin) Vore of Monticello, IN; Brother, Danny Ayers of Monticello, IN; Niece, Bridgette Tieben of Lafayette, IN; Great-Niece, Ashley Tieben of Indianapolis, IN. Preceded in Death: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Companion: Harlan Matthews, and a great-niece: Alissa Tieben. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
