Helen June (Boze) Hoover, 83, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at White Oak Health Campus.
She was born on June 24, 1940 on a farm five miles northeast of Monon. She was the daughter of Virgil "Pete" and Mabel (Eisert) Boze.
Later from that same farm, she rode the school bus to the Monon School for twelve years and was a 1958 graduate of North White School. Her class was the first graduating class in the new building. She went to work for Bryan Manufacturing and later enjoyed being a homemaker. She married Robert Hoover in the fall of 1961 in Monon. He survives. She and her husband lived in the country and loved birds, all kinds of animals, especially her cats.
In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her sister, Maxine Boehning of Francesville, and brother, Myron Boze of Monon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Mckay; and brothers, Robert and Kenneth Boze.
Graveside services celebrating Helen's life will be at 11:00 am on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Russ Alley officiating.
