Grace A. Laszczewski

Grace A. Laszczewski, 91, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at I U Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

She was born on November 7, 1933 in Chicago to the late Raymond and Catherine (Foley) Allen. On April 23, 1955 she married Richard Laszczewski at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Chicago. He preceded her in death April 3, 2016.

She was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in Chicago. She was a wonderful homemaker caring for her family and was a friend and grandmother to everyone.

Grace was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary #495 in Chicago and #81 in Monticello.

She is survived by three children, Richard (Mary) Laszczewski Jr. of Monticello, Kathy (Mark) Diener of Monticello, Kristen Laszczewski of Chicago; five grandchildren, Erin (Al) Mattull, Katie (Richard) Cheeseman, Ryan, Eric and Kyle Laszczewski; three great grandchildren, Koehn, Korbyn and Kitty.

In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mikolai Laszczewski.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am Saturday at the church with Fr. Dan Duff officiating.

Burial will follow in the Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello Veteran Honor Guard. Envelopes will be available at the church.
