Glenna R. Felz

Glenna Ruth (Moore) Felz, 96, of Monticello, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.

She was born on April 14, 1927 in Clarksville, TX to the late Sterling and Della Mae (Hamilton) Moore.  She was the fourth child out of ten children. On September 15, 1946 she married Robert Felz in Monticello. He  preceded her in death on April 9, 2004.

Glenna was a graduate of Patti Welder High School in Victoria, TX.  She was a homemaker and seamstress but most people knew her from Monticello Floral.  She was the face and voice of Monticello Floral for over 30 years.   She volunteered at the White County Historical Society and White County Food Pantry.  She was a member of the Monticello Church of Christ.  Glenna was a Christian woman known for her kind, friendly personality.  She always had a smile to share.

She is survived by five children, Sandra Royer of Seymour, Suzanne Lawson (companion, Al Rodwell) of Monticello, Robert Felz of Monticello, Richard (Michelle) Felz of Delphi, Shirley (Terry) Ashton of Monticello; grandchildren, Randy (Shannon) Royer, J.B. (Kelly) Royer, Taylor (Andy) Reynolds, Durk Ashton; great grandchildren, Josie Royer, Evan and Camden Royer, Christa Marvin, Stella Mae Ashton; sisters, Doris MacDaniel of Bridgewater, VA, Irene Lagarde of Mesquite, TX and brother, Max (Mary) Moore of Irving, TX.  In addition to her family she leaves behind dear friends: Penny Snider and Cheri Hutsell.

In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Doug Royer, and six of her siblings.

Visitation will be Monday, April 15, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.

Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
