Edward Van Weelden

Ed Van Weelden, 68, of Monticello, Indiana and Tucson, Arizona passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Ed was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 17, 1953 to the late Henry and Jean (Leep) Van Weelden.
Ed met his wife Cathy at Luther High School North in Chicago and their first date was Earth Day, April 22, 1970. They were married August 15, 1975 and happily shared life and many "Edventures" together in Dixon, IL, Scottsdale, AZ, Monticello, IN, Tucson, AZ and San Carlos, Mexico for almost 46 years.
Ed loved everyone and often demonstrated his love through generous hospitality. In addition to being a great cook, hunter and fisherman, Ed was a successful businessman. He owned and operated Rock Valley Disposal in Dixon, IL, and Sun Services in Las Vegas, NV, among other ventures. He lived a full life with no regrets. What a life he lived!
