Edward C. Reynolds, 83, of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at his residence.
He was born on September 21, 1942 in Hammond to the late Paul R. and Margaret (Baker) Reynolds.
His marriage was to the former Geraldine "Gerry" Jenkins and she survives.
He graduated from Griffith High School. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Turkey during his deployment. Early in his career he worked for Crown Point Street Department. He later worked as a Journeyman Station Mechanic at NIPSCO at Schaffer generating station in Wheatfield for many years and then transferred and later retired as a gas serviceman in the Monticello district. He then worked as a realtor for Welcome Home Realty, Help-U-Buy, as well as Keller Williams Realty in Monticello.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus St. John Neumann Council #6955 of Monticello, and was a past officer of the Izaak Walton Conservation League in Griffith, and a former member of the Monticello Kiwanis Club.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, trap shooting, archery, landscaping, carpentry, home improvement, and playing dartball for more than thirty years. He loved his family, his dogs, nature and traveling to National parks and natural properties as well as helping others. He enjoyed watching his son, grandchildren, and family members develop their life pursuits and took pride in their accomplishments.
In addition to his wife, Gerry of Monticello he is survived by his son, Christopher E. Reynolds of Monticello; grandson, Devin Reynolds; granddaughter, Lexy Reynolds; brother, Tom (Judy) Reynolds; nephew, Sean Reynolds; and niece, Sara Reynolds.
Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, February 23 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Father Dan Duff, the celebrant.
Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. cemetery with military rites rendered there.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Knights of Columbus St. John Neumann Council #6955 of Monticello. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
