Dr. Michelle Luise Kyser

Dr. Michelle Luise Kyser, 53, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 29, 1969 in Indianapolis to the late Spencer "Steve" Phillips and Luise (Koehler) Phillips who survives. On May 14, 2004 she married Jeremy Kyser in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. He survives.

She was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School and Indiana University receiving her doctorate in optometry. She was the owner and worked as an optometrist at Monticello Eye Center.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church and member of the Altar and Rosary Sodality, Saint Monica's Circle. She served on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of White County and the Community Foundation of White County, Women Giving Together. She was also a member of the Indiana Optometric Association.

In addition to her husband, Jeremy and mother, Luise both of Monticello, she is survived by her children, Kortney, Kyle, and Kaden Kyser and Kaleb Perry; grandchildren, Zaine and Lukkah; sister, Chris (Matt) Winkle of Batavia, IL; and her mother-in-law, Venee (Steve) Miller of Cement City, MI.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Fr. Chris Miller, the celebrant.

Private burial will be in Hughes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions are preferred and encouraged to be given to the Boys and Girls Club of White County or Women Giving Together. Envelopes will be available at the church.
